A talk by Cedric Green,

Secretary of North Cheshire Rail Users’ Group

How the Halton Curve was Won

Description: HaltonCurve_13250SFPoster

Over many years, as NCRUG secretary, Cedric has been the lead campaigner for the Halton Curve re-instatement and for an improved service on the Hooton/Helsby Line. “I volunteered for these tasks partly because, living in West Kirby, I was not well placed to do work on the North Cheshire stations some 30 miles away, and was looking for a challenge. My career before retirement was in the export business which entailed making and developing contacts, being persistent and opening and keeping doors open – essential for campaigning.”

The talk will be in the YMCA at 56 Whetstone Lane Birkenhead CH41 2TJ
on Monday 30th July at 7:30 pm in the Baden Powell Room (lift access).

Non-members are cordially invited to attend – admission is free.

Light Refreshments will be available after the talk.

These will be followed by the Association’s 2018 AGM.

The venue is within easy reach of bus and rail services
